New Years Eve Eve Part 2: Exercise

The only way to lose weight is to expend more calories than you take in on a daily basis. Simple math? Not exactly. It is an imperfect system. If you eat more than you burn, you will gain weight. The reverse is not exactly true.

A lot of my medicines cause the body to gain weight. That is one thing that I will be combating.

Laziness is my primary adversary, with improper choices a close second. The contributions that my meds make to the problem are real, but they can not be a crutch.

This belly was built almost overnight, but has been carried almost consistently since 1995. that is 17 years!!!

I do not have a job. But I want one. I have to get in order financially. I have to wait to hear if my situation can be remedied. I need to make payments to my parents (I did pay $200 in Nov).

I need to sleep regularly, eat regularly, monitor my B/S regularly, exercise regularly, AND CHANGE MY LIFE. Failure is easy, it is the consequence of not doing what is required to be successful.

I need to learn about whole body movements something to prepare me for running:

For the hip stabilizers, start off with basic single-leg exercises like split-squats, lunges and step-ups.
For the core, exercises like front planks, side planks and bird dogs will help get you stronger and more stable.

Make use of the online resources. Go to the library. It is going to be cold outside, so I am going to have to figure out how to do the exercise I need indoors...

This is not a short term fix. This is going to take a long time. But the longest journey begins with the first step, RIGHT?
